A Tamworth wife bereaved in a motoring accident last Friday morning (Jan 20) has spoken movingly of her loss.
Mr. Andrew Dennis (41) died after his Toyota Yaris was in collision with an Audi A4 on the A51, near Hopwas Woods.
His wife, Hannah, said in a statement that she had been left with a terrible sadness.
She added: “I have had the privilege of sharing the past 21 years with Andrew – 16 as his wife. I had hoped for many more, but for now, I am focusing on the memories of the times we did have together.
Loving father of three
“He was an incredible dad to our three amazing children, Joel, Malachi and Lydia. He has given them a great start in life, full of love, care, understanding, teaching, faith and opportunities. They will miss him hugely but know that he loved them more than words could say.
“He was a caring son, grandson and brother who will be hugely missed.
Lived for others
“He was a kind, thoughtful man who had made a huge impact on the lives of many children, firstly on the Isle of Wight and then for the past 15 years in various schools in Tamworth, including St Gabriel’s Primary and Three Peaks Primary, before moving to Gentleshaw Primary a year ago.
“He has been an active member of our Church, working alongside the children and youth, throwing himself into weekends away and weekly activities.
“He has been a good friend to many, often sharing his passion for mountain biking.
“Thank you to everyone who has already sent best wishes, condolences, thoughts, prayers, and offers of practical help. I cannot believe how generous you all are.
“It is too early to have made any arrangements, but I will let you know regarding a Thanksgiving Service for his life when I know more.”
Staffordshire Police are calling for witnesses to last Friday’s road traffic collision to call them on 101, quoting incident number 99, of January 20.
