Swadlincote man’s bereaved family speaks of loss

The bereaved family of a Swadlincote man killed in a road traffic collision have spoken of their loss. 

Christopher Keith Johnson (35) died on October 24, on Claymills Road, at its junction with the A38.

The incident, involving a grey Ford Fiesta and a Kawasaki motorcycle, occurred just after 7.45pm. Mr. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Devoted son

His family, said “Chris was a devoted son, uncle and friend.

“Taken far too soon, his memory will forever be in our hearts.

“He lived life to the full and was the life and soul of the party – the party couldn’t start until Chris arrived.

Light extinguished

“Hilarious, caring and generous, he will be deeply missed by all that knew him. A light has gone out in our lives”.

A police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
