The chap who chops grizzlies out of timber will not be the only new attraction at this year’s ‘Countryside Fair’.
Jez Avery and his Stunt Show will be showing the crowd things they should definitely not try at home.
Also appearing for the first time will be the ‘Mini-ponies’ – Tickle and Cuddles are bound to win lots of adoring fans.
They might even offer a ride to a feathered favourite from last year, Janet James’ ‘Alfie’ the parrot.
There could be some ‘tut-tutting’ from the vintage and classic automobile exhibitors when some 21st Century driverless cars are put through their paces in the main arena.
But no one is going to complain about food and drinks being served throughout the show, which is due to run from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
There will also be a huge number of other attractions.
List goes on and on!
They will range from a dog and duck show, ferret world and falconry for committed country folk, to a ‘reach up tower’, bungee trampoline and Punch and Judy show for the youngsters.
There will be more than 100 craft and food stalls as well as flower, produce and cake competitions and much else besides.
This year marks the fair’s 13th anniversary.
Every penny of profit is pumped back into the community.
The total so far has topped £163,000.
Tickets cost £12 (‘family’, two adults and two children), £5 (adult) and £3 (concessions).
Children under five enter free.
